The granularity of dates in personal history (e-APR) is a month. How can gaps of less than a month be entered, e.g. a couple of weeks between graduation and a job.

e.g. 06/06/2009 Graduation, 18/06/2009 job start.

Would I need to enter and explain this gap as "06/2009-06/2009", or do I leave out gaps that are less than a month.

Don't leave a single gap. If you werent doing anything just write unemployed.

But it's not possible to enter specific dates. E.g. How do I enter and explain a gap of a few days

E.g. 1st Jan 2011-5 Jan 2011 unemployed 6 Jan-20 Jan employed, 21 Jan-30 Jan unemployed (just an example). This would result in:
01/2011-01/2011 unemployed
01/2011-01/2011 employed
01/2011-01/2011 unemployed

As you can see, this gets confusing and could lead to misunderstandings.

You don't need to enter gaps within a month. Lets say you graduated on May 15, 2009, and started working on June 10, 2009. In this case there is no "gap", because your last month of study is followed by your first month of employment.

But if there is a gap like a month or more, you have to enter it as "unemployed"

Thanks for confirming. Some people say there's no need, whilst others have accounted for every single day.

What if I went on holiday in the brief period between graduation and starting work. This would be listed in travel history- do I also need to mention it in personal history?

Hello @alexfaraon - would you be able to link the IRCC guidance which states that anything less than a month can be ignored in personal history
