Hi, why it takes 1 and 1/2 months. I am having same trouble. Can you please tell from where you are staying?

Has anyone encountered similar to this situation " we sent four applications, they sent AOR for only 1 application and sent it out, now when we checked the mail, we found out that they sent 3 PR cards and one of them is missing.. although we received no AOR for the 2 PRs card that came in today... " do you have any idea whether like it can still be in process or any similar situation any of you encountered ..
Not sure of such scenarios.

Congrats on the approved 3.

But I remember you mentioning that you had sent the applications separately, right ? So, they sent all the 3 from different applications in one mail ?!!

I'm still waiting for our 2 applications, which we sent and received at IRCC on 1) Oct 25 and 2) Oct 31.
We had got AORs for both. But since then no updates :(

Yes thats right! we sent 2 application on two separate dates, one mail on the 29th and the 2nd mail on the 31st! And one of the applications that was received on the 31st got AOR and processing was on the 19th of December. Then it was dispatched on the 31st of Dec. and we received in the mail, the PR of on of the applications sent on the 29th and the 2 PRs for the applications sent on the 31st. My fiance called today and they have sent an inquiry regarding his case since they cannot locate it. and we asked whether we can send an urgent he said yes and explain the situation. They also told him to call on the 7th of Feb if he hasnt received anything till that date. All what you need is patience. Please do notify me whenever you receive your PR.

Congrats Vera, Anik, Dalboy and Sarahsh ...

Thanks it was a hard graft having to wait the 2+ years but I'm fortunate that in the end everything went through smoothly...plan B was pack bags and go back home (UK)....now comes the application for Citizenship which will be so much fun to complete lol!

Should I use FedEx or CanadaPost to send our applications? I just want to know a guaranteed company because i have a trip on may. What do you guys suggest?

As you maybe know, there was a Canada post strike..it may not be lost after all.

Very unfortunate to hear that. Make sure that you sent in a reissue request for a PR card to update the name change, using the following link:

Hello Vishalv, Did you asked to reissue your PR card with the name change, I want to know how long did it take. I just sent the papers yesterday. Hopefully this time they are going to be processed.. Supposed to be urgent processing time. Thanks

Yes I sent in a reissue application of my PR card which was received by IRCC on Jan 3rd (source: courier tracker). Keeping fingers crossed that both our applications are processed correctly.

As you said, it is supposed to be urgent processing but I wouldn't put any faith in that. Just hoping they get it right. Will post any updates I get in this thread.

Go with Fedex. Much more reliable from my experience.

Do I need to photocopy both of my old passport (expired) and new passport? My sister kept telling me I didn’t need the new one. So we sent the application with a photocopy of my expired passport. Now I’m nervous thaT i just messed up my application.
