hello

we have been sent the final letter requesting we send my wife's passport to get the permanent resident travel visa, we have paid the right of permanent resident fee, is there an additional fee for the travel Visa?

Check to make sure the PA doesn't require an eTA to get on a plane. Otherwise, no other visa is required.

As OP says his wife's passport has been requested to issue the visa, the eTA does not apply.

no, there is no additional fee to travel to canada when you require a visa to travel to canada. the right of PR fee is for visa processing and your wife's passport will be stamped with the PR counterfoil so she can travel to canada and land as a PR.

As some posters on canadavisa.com still call the PR a visa, it cannot be assumed.

Does this mean that an eTA is required for those whose passport wasn't requested (visa exempt countries)? I keep reading conflicting information about this. CIC seems to say you don't need one if you have COPR but others say we need it...
