Hi Brother.
I need an advice from you. I might be landed toronto on October Inshallah with 4 members. MY POF should be 20600 CAD but I m prepare to take 15000/- cad. what do u think? based on your experience advice me will it creat any problem?
Tosher

I think you won't face any problem at POE. You have satisfied your visa officer that you have the required funds. You are not required to prove it again to IO at the time of entry. Give IO the details of funds you actually carry. It is highly improbable that he/she would ask you any further question about POF. Just in case they ask tell them that whenever required you would get more funds from your native country.

Your COPR is your application for PR. No need of filling out new forms

Those who have landed after 5th May 2011 do not panic since the current PR processing time is 140 days.
I rang this number +16139444000. Best to call on a Thursday or Friday.
All those currently out of Canada can try this number but only if u r lucky to get a agent answer ur call. Keep ur COPR handy since they ask for the CLIENT ID on copr.

Hello everyone,
I am new on this forum but I am following the guidelines given by generous member of this forum from quite a long time.I am a new immigrant in canada.i need advice on the matter of my PR card.My husband and I landed on 18th June 2011 in Toronto. My husband went back after a week time to london and I stayed here with my relatives for collection of PR cards. Now the problem is,My husband PR card came on 18th August 2011 but m still waiting for mine.I called call centre no.,they said my card was issued on 16th of august. Now they r saying to wait for a month from date of issuance to reapply for new card.I am very worried as i need to go back to london.I just want advice what should i do.If i leave this country,Can i easily get travel document for reentry? coz we are planning to settle in canada on permanant basis in next year June.I am afraid about rejection of travel document.I dont know what to do.

Thaks for the info. However, that is true for renewal, for existing permanent residents. For new applicants, it is 46 busniess days (as of now).

For all, there is a thread for tracking PR Card timeline:
http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/pr-card-arrival-timeline-t73191.0.html

Thanks..!

Hi Dodan,
That thread is for family class sponsorship and i feel there will be some difference in getting PR CARDS namely timelines.

I landed first of July and have not received pr cards yet.Did they deliver pr cards for people landed in July

Hi Acer2010,

We landed on July 8th and PR Cards for all of us reached my friends' address on Sep 15th (69th day from date of landing). About your case, I think it is better to inquire with the Dept. to know the reason for the delay.

Regards,

Satish
