Hi,

I am immigrating to Toronto soon and planning to fly to Vancouver one month later as a sponsored common-law partner. I understand that in order to re-enter canada I'll need my Permanent Resident Card. But do I also need one if I fly within Canada? Will one month will be enough to have my PR card issued and sent to me? What document do I need to show at the airport if I'm flying internally? Is my stamped passport enough?

Thank you,
Cat

You don't need the PR card to travel within Canada. A valid passport will be sufficient.

I'm not sure that one month will be enough for the PR card to be issued and sent to you. My husband's arrived either week 5 or 6 - and I know others have waited significantly longer.
