1. What if my passport expires while I am in Canada having permanent residency card?
2. Do I have to return to my home country for renewal of passport? If yes, then can I board the flight with just PR card in my hand with no visa stamp in on my passport?

you can apply for new passport from your countrys Embassy in Canada .
