Permanent Residency Status

Hello all,

Quick update: The application we submitted under the Family Class has been processed and completed! We met the requirements and are now awaiting a call or email for our appointment to make the final decision for my Permanent Residency Status.

Now for my question: How long does it take for the office to contact applicant? And can they still deny my application at this point or are we in the clear?

Thanks in advance,

Dan

Your question is unclear.

Did you get a decision made, before they requested an interview? If so you should be good to go, provided they haven't asked you to re-submit something that you didn't do which made them refuse your application.

They will snail mail you a CoPR, seems to take 2-4 weeks to get. Use that document to "land" with.

My apologies for my lack of clarity. I went to check status and it says a decision has been made.

For an inland application, after DM you will need to wait to receive an appointment time to land at a local CIC office in your city. Depending on what city you live in, i heard they can take from a few weeks to a few months to wait for the appointment.

OP applied inland, so there is no mailed out COPR in this case. The COPR is given at landing appointment which must be scheduled in advance with CIC.

Thanks for the quick response. Can you tell me what is OP and COPR? And we are in Saskatoon so it may take a few months.

Sorry I did not see where it said Inland, either I am blind for the word "Inland" or he has posted elsewhere :p

OP means Optimus Prime and CoPR means Corduroy Pants Required for the landing

No OP means Original Poster and CoPR means Confirmation of Permanent Residency

I am effing hilarious.
