I have a question for anyone who has any knowledge on this topic.. many thanks in advance, as this is all new to me!
My boyfriend and I met in New Zealand (his homeland) where we lived together for 5 months before moving to Canada (landed 1 year ago). My boyfriend is on a Working Holiday programme which lasts for 1 year, and he has been working - and we are applying for his PR as we are common law. While we are waiting for the PR to (hopefully) be approved, does his working holiday visa carry over and allow him to continue over? Or, does he also have to apply for a Worker visa?
We are both really confused and have found it to be a nightmare getting through to Immigration and everytime that we DO get through to them, we get different inconsistent answers. Thank you for reading!
