Hi guys,
today by e.mail the Office in Sidney sent me the message that I am not elegible. They wrote:
"You have indicated that you have work experience in occupations with the following NOC code: 4131, Language School Instructor, Child-Care Service Teacher. Although this NOC code corresponds to the occupations specified in the instructions identified by the Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism and published in the Canada Gazette on 28 November 2008, you do not have a minimum of one year of continuous full-time or equivalent part-time paid work experience in these occupations in the last ten years at the time of application. As such, your application is not eligible to be processed."

I have indicated 4131 for my 8 months of work and another 4131 for my 6 months of work in the same category....So I have a question: why at the Embassy in Rome they said that the months of work experience with the same NOC could be add up?
I can understand it! Can someone suggest something?
Thanks
Giuly

Minimum work experience requirements

You must meet the following minimum work experience requirements to be eligible to apply as a skilled worker:

You must have at least one continuous year of full-time, paid work experience or the equivalent in part-time continuous employment.
Your work experience must be in the category of Skill Type 0, or Skill Level A or B on the Canadian National Occupational Classification (NOC). See below for instructions on determining the NOC category for your work experience.
You must have had this experience within the last 10 years.

Although, you have/had work experinece of 1 year and 2 months, but I guess it wasnt continuous. Looks like, your work continuos 8 months , then with break you again work for 6 months even it was in same category, right? If I am right then I am sorry, your work experinece is not eligible towards "One Year Continuos" work experinece requirements.

It's so unfair....I have no words for my disappointment....

Hi Giuliana, don't be too sad. You can always reapply once you've met the 1 year continuous experience requirement. Hopefully, your NOC code will still be included in the "magic list".

You can also try and find a job to qualify under arranged employment in Canada -- http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-who.asp.

Good luck to you.

There are always other ways try to find another way that will work for you.Just be cool and get back to work you'll succed.

Thanks to everyone for the support.....I have a beautiful news: the application for live in caregiver has been accepted.....so they refused me for the permanent residence....but now I am going to go there to work as nanny.....so maybe then after 24 months of work I can apply with the experience class......
Finally...I am coming back to canada.......

I would like to know how to apply for live in care givers??
