Permanent Residence Application

Dear All,

I have applied for permanent residence visa and my application was received more than 2 months ago. There is no contact from CIC since then. My lawyer submitted the application, on my behalf, from Canada.

Can anyone let me know how long it does usually take to get a reply from CIC? I am basically from Pakistan and working in Saudi Arabia.

I've also applied for Canadian immigration n my application was delivered at CIO in the first week of June 2014, but so far no news from CIO. No idea when they will respond

Just wait some more time n hopefully we all will receive some news. By the way, in which category have u applied? Can u share ur educational and work experience? What is ur NOC code? Mine is 2263.

I'm a May 30 applicant and still waiting.

Check the other threads and you'll see the PERs are coming from May 7-12 applicants while CC charges are done from May 13-14 applicants.

Let's have more patience ;D

Before it was stated on CIC's website that an applicant can inquire about his status after 6 weeks. Now, its 8-10 weeks and that makes me wait for some more time.

This is wrong. If your consultant / lawyer told you this - he has no idea what he is doing. It will take CIC 2-3 month to open your application - so it would be impossible for you to receive an immediate rejection.
