Hi guys!
Is there anybody had an experience in applying for a Canadian study permit in London? I applied for my study permit on 26th of October and still waiting for an answer. I am Russian and had been living in London for 4 years and had graduated from University. So, I am holding a bachelor degree from London. I have been accepted to York university for Bachelor in finance. I have a few questions: ::)

Do I need a medical examination if I am Russian but the past 4 years was living in the UK?

How long approx should I wait until I get an answer from Canadian embassy if I gave my documents on 26th of October 2012?

Thanks

sorry to disappoint you, but there's a processing time of approximately 9 weeks for study permit at the London embassy, so you're in for a long ride! I was in London as well for 4 years but I decided to come back to my home in India to apply for Canadian study permit. Anyway, good luck to you.

Hi,
I don't think it's going to be that much of a wait as they seems not to be very busy at the moment. A friend of mine applied on the third of October and got a reply on the third November.
I applied 29th Octomber and got my package back 3rd of November as I did not include my sons study per,it application which was very quick, less than a week, I know of people in the past who applied and waited for weeks before their application got returned.
They got my application back on the 5th November, so fingers crossed.
As for the Medicaid, I'm not really sur about that but I don't think u will require one.
Lets keep progress of things.
Good luck
