I can get info about my application receive date at LA. moreover i could get info when filed application in another consulate outside of Canada. the only thing you need is your client ID and birth year. though information provided is very limited - date of receive only..

Does any one know that we require a valid US visa to apply for study permit for canada applying from the United States. Because my US visa was expires in 2008 but i am still in valid status in US.
And Does any one know which date of files are in process ?

you should be fine.. I submitted my application in May and my USA visa expired in June; got favorable response as regards my application last week.. so i feel you should be alright once you ave a valid status.. but 2008 is a long time ago for your visa to expire and you do noting about that..5 years is a long time ago.

Not yet, the USPS tracking still is not activated. Its been exactly a week. Keep you posted.

Congrats !! what did they say in message ? I think normally they should mail in 3-4 days but don't know. IF your visa is approved then you can visit LA consulate on M_W_F 9-10 am and show them the email and they will return your passport.

no developments on that front. i haven't emailed them since the approval letter came in, but I guess I'll email and ask about the package if it doesn't show by end of the week. I booked my trip for the 18th so there should be more than enough time for the package to be sent and delivered but I just wish to get this over with it. Any news for you yet?
