People who applied for Study Permit LA consulate for Fall 2013?

I applied for study permit on 22nd May. They returned my package saying for work visa you should apply in NY consulate (i applied for OWP for my husband with my study permit). After that i applied again to LA office for study permit plus the OWP for my husband on 10th June. The visa officer admitted their mistake and promised to give us priority. Now its almost 1 month and no updates from LA consulate. All the students in this forum who applied from LA office and got visa , please share your profile and valuable experience with LA consulate.

Update: Till today 9th July 2013 the cashier's check is not cashed so i think they have not started processing my file

By the way, you mentioned that LA consulate got in touch with you admitting their mistake. How did they communicate with you? If it was email, could you share it, because all emails available on their website seem like not being checked whatsoever.

I called the bank ccare and they told me that its not cashed out. Then i went to bank's branch and they asked me about the receipt and then checked in there system and told me that it is not encashed. You can do the same. maybe this link may help

Cashier's check has a validity of 90 days.

Thank you shradzsaraf. I will try to figure out when my money order was cashed. By the way, my money order will expire on next week (90 days) if it's still not cashed

Could you check with your lawer if LA consulate has some phones or emails to reach them, if application is beyond normal process time.

The google docs Spreadsheet you shared is for Visitor visa and not for Study permit.
I tried to search for a study permit google docs but not able to find it.
So I Created a new spreadsheet for Study permit.
