scholar201,
I checked your record in the spreadsheet. My case is absolutely the same, except that I applied on my own without lawyer assistance.
Regarding process times -- LA consulate doesn't show any specific process time at the moment, only it does show 30 day (which is non-informative cause we are also subject of medical) or 8 weeks on CIC site (which is average based on calculations between Apr 2012 and March 2013). They also mention to apply "at least 3 months before, that means we can't rely on 8 weeks as well.
Did your lawyer say anything specific about process time? Maybe he got some details?
Thanks.
Hi Molotoff1984,
Thanks for your reply. My representative is not a lawyer. She is a CIC approved regulated consultant. She has told me that processing times usually show the average time required to make decision about any case. However, this delay is occurring due to ongoing strike of visa officers. They are not working to review visa applications since 7 June, 2013. They have made some demands of increase in their incentives and salary.
As per my information hundreds and thousands of applications are going pending every week due to this ongoing strike. I don't know if Harper's government will take any action to resolve this dispute between foreign service officers and government or it will continue this way.
What is your country of residence and how you obtained extension in your visitor record? Did you tell them that you awaiting decision on study permit so you should be given extension or something else? how much time it took you to receive decision on your visitor record extension?
Looking forward for your response.
thanks.
