@smiley. You are right , sending case specific inquiry means wait for another 15 working days. I can delay my univ registration till 15 September at maximum, I don't have classes as I m enrolled in phd, so I will directly join my research lab.smileyuae said:Tim. Sending a case inquiry message through the website takes another 15 working days to get a reply. If you are lucky.
I highly recommend you plan a trip to AD monday morning to the embassy. To the visa department on the 10th floor.
Good luck! Enjoy it!smileyuae said:@ to everyone who was following my situation. Just want to inform you that I collected my pp from dubai vac with the visa stamped inside!
Time to pack my bags and leave Friday night!
My only suggestion is to go and visit the embassy and fill up the inquiry form. Good luck guys (sorry but I'm still very stressed out!)

I too have received 4 messages stating that my "application has been updated." However, in one of those instances, the message actually corresponded with a status change. And that was the status update of my biometrics being passed. The rest of the 3 were however random, as you said. So I was wondering if that meant I needed one more message before a final decision was made? Or whether I had to wait for two completely random messages instead?
I know you won't know for certainty, but you might have read around the forums more than me so perhaps you might be able to shed some light on the matter. Thanks in advance.
And I hope you receive your Visa soon!

Well , I m not sure about diploma thing as I have applied for phd. One thing you can do is that submit a 2 page study plan along with your visa application and give reasons for your choice of diploma in accounting and IT. Also write a convincing letter to VO and give him/her the reasons why you choose this diploma, how it will help you in getting a better job back home after finishing studies in Canada and bla bla. VOs consider your past academics, employment history etc. while assessing the study visa applications so it's better to choose courses that matches your past academics and employment history and are beneficial in getting a better job in home country
There are many posts on this forum regarding your question, I suggest you to spare some time and read these posts of different ppl and their experiences.
Good luck.
