Are you sure? Check this embassy website. It says 4-6 weeks http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/uae-eau/visas/processing-traitement.aspx.

yes .... but there is 20 working days added to some countries .... which is 4 weeks . so it will take from 8 to 10 weeks . http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/temp/students.asp

Bro, it's already been 8 weeks right? If you want, you can email them through the case specific inquiry available on the CIC website..

I have sent 2 case specific inquiries, this will take 28.working days to be replied as per the submission acknowledgement
I just want to know if a request take so long is it a good sign or not?

Maybe the reason why it's gonna take 28 days for them to reply back is VO's are busy with the applications being processed in their office. Don't worry, hopefully you'll hear from them soon
