I did and that is a factual statement because PCC validity varies depending on the country. But this statement resides in a completely different section from the one where CIC talk about PCC requirements. It says: "PCs are typically valid for one year from the date they are issued."
The point being - If they wanted to invalidate PC's based on the date of expiry mentioned in the PCCs, that would've been mentioned explicitly in the particular section. That rule isn't cast in stone. What is cast in stone (till CIC decides otherwise, at least) is the requirement that "For countries in which the applicant no longer resides, the PC must be issued later than the departure date of the last time the client resided in that country for more than six months." And that doesn't mention expiry date of said PCC.
I see your point though - it's better to err on the side of caution.
