PCC (Police Clearance Certificate) - India

Hi,

I live in hyderabad, and for CIC EE, would the PCC from Passport office work ? Did anyone have success with that approach ?

Or is it mandatory that we should apply at our local District Police Station ?

Passport kendra will work, my husband got his pcc from passport kendra for his express entry. U should first book an appointment and take all original copies mentioned in the checklist. Its easy in passport kendra office. book online.

I've already got it from PSK - Ameerpet. As I was going through other threads in this forum, someone raised this concern. So got a little worried.

It would be helpful if someone can comment that PSK PCC works for people from Other places than Delhi, who have got PPR.

it is clear psk pcc is acceptable only from people from delhi.
Rest all have to apply with local police.

The link is confusing for sure. But I imagine the federal/national passport authorities would always rank higher in order than the provincial/district police authorities hence anyone receiving a PCC from the Passport authority must be safe as well. And this possibly negates some member's doubts about needing multiple PCCs if they have lived in multiple provinces/states within the same country. In such a scenario, I imagine the national passport authorities would have the final word anywhere in the World unless explicitly mentioned otherwise.

You sound right and that's what i too believe. The only problem is, we do not know if CIC too thinks the same. With so many lame rejection-reasons in the past, i just do want to be victimized by this small thing.
That's reason, i asked if it has worked for someone in the past.

No asivad it is not multiple pcc's,I am not getting why people are confused in this thing.
Like in my case I had to get pcc from 2 places in india(as i was thinking)
But the local pcc cell did everything, they semselves verified from previous address and compiled it into one certificate.

All I'm saying is that it must be perfectly valid to procure PCCs from the national passport authorities who, in most parts of the World, would have greater access to national information on criminal records and such than the provincial/district police authorities simply because the Passport is the most sensitive national ID document and the authorities issuing that would be at the top of this chain.

Haven't seen a single rejection yet on these grounds at least among the EE crowd on this forum.
