I am sure this question has already been asked and answered couple of times, but I am hoping to find someone with similar situation as mine.

Basically I want to get PCC for express entry and I know the procedure of how to apply online on passportIndia website and get appointment at PSK.

I just have two question.

1. My Permanent address( which is the address on my passport) is of a different state then the state I am currently living and working so can I visit PSK of the city that I am currently living in??If yes what documents I might have present at PSK ?? I don't have any address proof of for the place I am staying right now.

2. If above is not possible and if I have visit the PSK of the city where my Permanent address is then will I be able finish the process in one day? will there be any follow up calls or Police Verification needs to be done where I have to visit local police station? My passport is fairly new (I just got it like 2 weeks ago and done PV at that time so I am hoping not to go through that again) I am asking this because going back and forth take me 18-20 hours so it's very troublesome, if I have to travel back for unexpected PV.

Please share any similar experience or insight if any of you guys have.

Hello batman,

If u apply pcc with psk near by ur permenent address, it might be easier.

If i am not wrong u can get on same day, this is possible if ur passport in issues in india. If ur passport renewal done in abroad it takes atleast one month

Its my case, i got it after a month since my pp renewal was done in abroad, so they need to do a police verification to ur permenent address.

I am only concerned about getting unexpected PV call and having to travel back.

I am also facing the same dilemma as yours..so if you are going with PCC on your permanent address...what are you showing in your present address under address history.

Hi All,

I am going for my PCC appointment tomorrow. Since my passport address and current address are different, I am expecting a PV at current address. I have 11 months rent agreements starting April 2016 onwards. They are however not important as they are not registered.

Hoping that the below documents works for me
- verified e aadhar (issued in May 2017)
- Bank statement (account opened on march 2017)
- company letter (private company)
- ITA letter
- Profile details
- Letter to RPO

For my spouse
- verified e aadhar (updated in September 2017)
- post paid bills (airtel)
- company letter (private company)
- ITA letter
- Profile details
- Letter to RPO

Other than Rental agreement and Credit card bills. I do not have any proof from April 2016 to March 2017. Though my residence has been in the same location for last two years. Will update regarding my status for PCC in India as I progress.

Seniors can shed some light for the above if it is sufficient for getting the PCC done or I need to approach higher authorities in case it is delayed or unnecessarily made complex.
