Hi Everyone,

I got my PCC from PSK. It is a print out in black and white with my photo in black and white. Barring the stamp on the paper, it looks like a photocopy. Is this how it looks?

I thought it would have a hologram instead it is an A4 paper given to me with 3 lines!!

Yes, it's like this only. :D
So, don't worry. They just give a simple print out of the PCC signed by the regional passport officer on it.
You are good to go. You can upload it

Was a bit shocked that it was a paper and I went through a new passport, back and forth police verification for passport etc to get this paper.

lol..

there are lots of people here who seem to have got their PCC. can they suggest if the process was easier through PSK or Police?

also was there field inquiry in either case?

Yeah, exactly.

I was in the same boat as yours.

I first got my passport renewed, for which I underwent police verification. After 15 days in total I received my passport. Then again I took appointment for PCC at PSK. And after the whole process, what I got from PSK was only a simple A4 size B&W print-out with signature & stamp as my PCC, mentioning only 3 lines in my favour! ;)

So, basically we get 2 copies for 500 INR! 250 each!! ;)

Yes, the procedure for obtaining PCC from PSK is quite simple and easy.

ALl you need to do is to take an appointment with PSK (which you mostly can have within the next 2 - 3 days).
Then Reach at PSK with required docs (your current passport & address proof, if it's different than that of your PP).
If your police verification was not done during the last 6 months, then you will have one this time.
If it was done during last 6 months, then you will get your PCC on the very same day of your appointment to PSK.

Simple as that !
Hope it helps.

+1d. thanks

Yeas as adtjindal said its easier through PSK.. the only time consuming process is the verification done by local police they take 4 5 days otherwise you get it in 1 appointment only.

I hope you must have recived PR. In my case the stamp is little unclear, however signing official's signature is perfectly file. I assume having partial stamp like passport auth rity where a is little unclear likewise in hindi, have no impact on application.

colour scan and upload. They cross verify it in their system, so don't worry.
