PCC from India.

Hi All,

I have seen a few posts discussing ideal source for getting PCC from India. Someone had suggested that we should get these from passport offices (PSK) and not district police offices as some of the applications got rejected because not submitting PSK PCC.

But then I find on CIC website that (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/asia-pacific/india.asp)

If you are a citizen of India:

If you live in India:
For residents of Punjab: You can apply to your local Senior Superintendent of Police, or the senior ranking police official at the police station in your District.

For residents of other states: You can apply at your local District Police Station.

For residents of Delhi: You can apply at your local District Police Station or online on the Delhi Police website or on the Passport India website. The Web site will list what information and documents you need. If you apply online, your certificate will be returned to you electronically.

Does any one have any suggestions/inputs on acceptability of PCC obtained from District Police Station?

Ya you can get Pcc from district police station as well passport office.which state are you in. As i am from Punjab I got my police clearance from Secritrait it a Govt building where all official offices are located where u can appy different stuff like driving licences or marriage certificate. So i did application for pcc and after few days a guy from our area police station visit home for verification. Then I got my PCC after 10 days.So do check from your city.
