At which PSK did you apply. We were denied PCC for my husband even after a lot of discussion.

Hello Suhasini, I am sponsoring my wife for Canada PR. She went to the Vizag PSK to get the PCC but they denied the request saying that she needs an invitation letter by me. I really don't know what they meant by invitation letter by me !!! Could you please let me know if getting a PCC from the commissioner of police worked for you? Thanks!

Though I got the PCC from Commissioner, I was hesitant. So I went to meet the grivience officer. Submitted the Express entry documents list required by IRCC. The officer didn't meet me, but took the documents and said they'll do something. After a couple of weeks, I notices a circular in their website. Took a print of the circular and again took app. at the PSK. Luckily they sent my Husb, inside and issued the PCC.

Hello Suhasini, How did you give the documents for the Grievance officer? Did you go to the same Vizag PSK to meet the grievance officer? And what's the website you were referring to when you said you noticed a circular on their website? Thanks!

Hi, I went to the Regional Passport Office, Visakhapatnam. We can walk- in with our passport. 9:30AM to 1 or 1:30 PM.
Its in Marripalem, near Rythu Bazaar.

Note at the end they have mentioned

• Sufficient supporting documents to prove their requirement for PCC.

The PSK we went to is the one in Murali Nagar, Botcha Square.

I am sponsoring for Spousal PR for my wife and the list in the link: https://portal1.passportindia.gov.in/AppOnlineProject/pdf/VSP_0175725_Y.pdf has 5 items listed. So the document requirements for PCC for spouse PR are listed in number 5 on the list and not 4? Because as per Point V in there it did not say anything about the invitation letter.

I am going through the same challenges that you mentioned and they are refusing to give PCC without an invite (through this is not express entry and I am sponsoring my wife). Can you let me know what documents you submitted and how you got your PCC. Thanks!

Hello, Yes we were able to get PCC. Apparently the staff working there cannot distinguish between express entry pr and spousal pr. What you can do is tell them the pcc is for dependent purposes. Submit them your PR copy, passport visa copy, marriage certificate, aadhar card along with the id proofs of your spouse. If they still dont budge ask them that you need to talk to the Passport officer. Hopefully this helps. Thanks

I wonder when spouse updates her passport after marriage, how would she get PCC report for her previous address. Because, now police will give PCC for this updated address.

Canada does not care about whether the PCC mentions you are married or not. Don't know about the Indian side.
