Hi,

I have applied under FSW in Auguat 2008 and have not got any reply till now. I was working on a project in Saudi Arabia for about a year in 2003. I hear that it is very difficult to get a PCC from Saudi. Please let me know if there are any ways by which I can get PCC for Saudi Arabia. I am currently working in US.

As you are not presently in Saudi, it is impossible. see: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/mid-east/saudi-arabia.asp

So does that mean that I will not be required to give a PCC for my stay in Saudi Arabia

Just ensure that you point out to the processing office that it is impossible for non residents to get PCCs from Saudi. Some offices overlook this.

Hi,

You donot require that as you are already out of KSA. You can find more details at: www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/mid-east/saudi arabia

I have worked in Saudi Arabia for 2.5 yrs and the CIC have asked me to provide police clearance. My lawyer has send them a letter stating that only current residence are allowed to get a police clearance. CIC has waived the requirement upon receiving the letter.

actually am in the same situation and i live currently in canada, i contacted the saudi embassy in ottawa in that regard and they said that they don't issue police clearance for former residents, and i emailed the canadian embassy in riyadh in that regard and they have sent me back the following email :

Dear Applicant,
Former residents of Saudi Arabia cannot obtain police certificates abroad. Only persons legally resident in Saudi Arabia can obtain such permits, a process which requires involvement of both the Embassy and the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Email: riyadh.visa@international.gc.ca

finally i have sent an email to the visa office responsible on processing my application explaining the problem to them, and they have sent me back the following email :
