Dear all,

I would like to get some clearance with regards to Police clearance certificate.

I was born in Saudi Arabia to Indian parents and I have Indian citizenship. I have lived around 16 years(1993-2009 from birth till I was in 10th class) in Saudi Arabia.

And then I've moved to India for 6 years towards Intermediate and Bachelor's degree. (2009-2015)

Later on I went for my masters in USA for 2 years (2015-2017).

After completing my masters I got job back in Saudi Arabia in 2017 untill now(2017-2019) i.e. 2 years in Saudi Arabia again.

I want to apply for police clearance certificate, would PCC from Indian embassy/consulate in Saudi Arabia suffice or do I need to get 3 separate PCC from India, USA, and Saudi Arabia to fulfill my requirements for Express Entry PR.

Thanks.
Your response would be appreciated.

You need a PCC for each country you lived in for 6 months or longer after the age of 18. In your case that means that you need 3 separate PCC for India, USA, and Saudi Arabia

Are you still living in Saudi Arabia or have a status there like an iqama? If you aren't or don't have an iqama, you're exempt from the PCC requirement for the Saudi PCC.

This is because they don't normally issue police certificates if you don't currently have a status there, so you're then exempt from providing a Saudi PCC.

I currently have a status because I'm employed in Saudi Arabia hence I need a PCC from here, I don't have a status in USA. do I still need a PCC from USA?

If you lived in the U.S for more than 6 months since you turned 18 or within the last 10 years, whichever is more recent, then you'll need a PCC from there.

The status criterion is only applicable to Saudi Arabia, because they will not usually issue PCCs to people who don't have a current status.

However, other countries will do so including the U.S

So then you'd need a PCC from there.
