Payment for extended visitor app

Have any of you had problems with paying this or any application on the cic website? My husband has a Visa card and it says failed every time. I have only six days until I have to leave and Cic decided to tell me at the LAST minute, only ONE week before I have to go! I hate this! I am scrambling to try and find anyone I know who will use their card to pay the 75 dollar fee, so my husband can wire them back money for it but no go, and cic isn't helping. They just tell me to find someone to use their credit card to pay for it. Ugh! Anyone have any suggestions..would be appreciated, this is dire.

Pay at a financial institution

If you are applying online, payment is done when you submit your application through MyCIC. This is the only way to pay for an online application.

If you decide to apply on paper, and choose not to pay your fees online, you must get an original receipt of payment form IMM 5401 to pay at a financial institution (such as a bank or Western Union). This form is not available online. You must order an original receipt by mail.

You must include a copy of this receipt IMM5401 with your paper application.

CIC does not accept money orders and bank drafts as payment.

I know all about this, I am looking for suggestions on what to do because cic really screwed me over by sending my visitor record out too late, two weeks before I can make any plans. Their website will not accept my husband's card even though the instructions tell me that they will.
