Hi guys,

I am an july 2012 applicant, and I have received my MR last week without RPRF or Bio-data form. Just thinking about paying RPRF in advance to possibly save some time.

Is this a good move? or should I just keep waiting for the request?

Please let me know if anybody has had paid the fee without request.

Much appreciated!!!

And if for some reasons, your application was rejected (God forbid), RPRF is refundable. I don't see any problem with paying RPRF upfront, and I heard that it may sometimes take a while for the payment to be attached to your file, so paying this fee right now may not hurt (unless, of course, if you need the 500 dollars for something else more urgent). Follow the link below to pay your RPRF using credit card (assuming your application is processed by Ottawa of course?)

And congratulations for your medical request :)

One of my friend recently applied for pr through a lawyer, and the lawyer asked him to pay the rfrp fees with the application, so I don't think it's an issue to pay the upfront rprf.

Thanks asbereth for your advice. I think I will pay RPRF after my medical is done in a later time.

Btw, does anyone know the CIC email address or fax number that i can send the receipt after RPRF is paid?
I understand that ppl who got RPRF request did get an pdf file which allow them to fill in receipt info. And the file also has instructions on how to update with CIC on the payment.

Could someone kindly share the content of the RPRF request file if possible?
Thanks in advance.

I think you're talking about the cost recovery email?

Anyway, sep28 got the explicit request to make this payment, and the content of his email was exactly the content of the PDF I got for RPRF payment

Good luck :)

Yeah I'm pretty much on the same boat. My ECAS has been updated to "Medical Received" but I haven't received RPRF & Biodata request from CIC yet. I'm thinking about making the RPRF payment now and email the receipt to "CPPO-Cost-Recovery @ cic.gc.ca".

I don't think there is any downside to doing this since the CIC Operations Manual OP 25-A explicitly states that "Applicants may make their RPRF payment at any time during the immigration process. Most visa offices encourage payment to be made after all statutory requirements have been met.". Besides, RPRF is fully refundable in case (and I hope not) the PR application is rejected.
