We are a February 03, 2016 applicant from the Philippines. We are now at March 7, 2017 past the 12 months processing time. How do we go about contacting CiC for more indepth information? Case specific inquiries have failed us as well as GCMS notes do not give us any pertinent information. Is there a phone number we can use to talk directly now that we are past the processing times? Thank you for your help in this matter.

The sponsor should contact their Member of Parliament (MP).

MPs do a great job getting the details and why!

Best of luck

I have contacted our member of parliament. They have contacted CiC multiple times over our medical issues. Currently they want us to do X-rays every 3 months for 9 months. We just did our last x-ray and the MP is only willing to do diary updates once a month. Which is the equivalent of GCMS notes which we order monthly anyways. By now we should be able to talk with someone right? To see if our medical results have been received and the file is progressing? 13 months ++ is now a long waiting game. I am just unsure of the contacting procedure...I would prefer talking to an actual human being.

There isn't anyone at IRCC you can talk to. The only access is the Call Centre and they are useless.

You can continue to order GCMS notes and speak with your MP and you can use the IRCC Web form to send an inquiry to the VO.

How would you send an inquiry directly to manila immigration? To my understanding it just gets sent to the generic place in Canada...

The 12 months processing time is not a deadline, just a guideline. Their goal is to complete 80% of the applications within 12 months.

Try sending an email to:

MANILIMMIGRATION@international.gc.ca

Or a CSE directly to Manila:

https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/case-cas-eng.aspx?mission=manila

thank you so much! thats perfect information! I only sent a general Case specific inquiry which i don't even think touches manila.

I am just curious, since my wife and I are at 10 months and waiting, how many people are in your application? We have children included, which is why I suspect ours is taking so long.
