Passports to CPC Ottawa- Nov 2017

Hello, hopefully you will got approved next week! I have the same situation as you. I have a flight on 24th Dec, so I sent Ottawa an email to ask for faster processing. That is the email they replied me:

Should there be an extenuating circumstance (such as a death in the family or medical emergency) for which you can provide evidence, we will do our best to expedite the processing in our office based on the claim. Please be advised that we will not consider requests that are not of an extenuating circumstance, such as vacation or pre-arranged flights.

SO apparently they do not fasten the process due to pre-arranged flights anymore unless you have emergency situation. Hope this can help you.

its almost getting a month now. Don't know why they do not utilize CPC-Vergeville. i called CIC and the rep said it went into printing queue on 7th Dec.

What time of day does return tracker usually get activated?

My application got approved on December 12. Hoping to get passport returned sometime this week.

just called cic and the response was very confusing first she said that your passport is in the Que for printing then she said no we received your passport on Dec 7 and it takes 4 weeks to process so wait till JAN 7....
I am so confused and frustrated. they are so confused and dont know whats happening with my passport and at last she said that they sent my passport... i mean which line i shall believe.

If the status is not changed to Approved yet then I think it's still on queue. They're receiving lots of passports lately and I think they accumulated in PO Box at first (Nov 20) before delivery to desk for processing (Dec 7). Give them sometimes I don't think we can receive before Christmas.

Passport delivered: NOV 20th

Received an email reply this morning from CIC, it was pretty vague saying that they received my passport and it will be returned to me soon thats all.

MyCIC got updated to Approved yesterday (Dec 18), only got email today about the update. Tracker not activated yet.

I don’t have access to mycic ACC ... so only guessing through other people post and waiting for my tracker to be activated . If yours is approved I hope that the tracker activate before holidays ... May GOD bless us amen
P.s why there is so much gap in passport delivered and received by cic . I called cic and they told me same thing tat your passport is received to us on dec 7 . Last but not the least do they also process faster or slower depending on the stream . Or they treat everyone equally
