Is F1 student visa considered as Temporary Resident Visa?

I am filling up Express entry application under CEC inland, I am struck with this question.

I was refused US Student Visa(F1), Should I answer Yes for both of these questions or just the 2nd question?
Is F1 student visa considered as Temporary Resident Visa?

1.Has ***** you been refused refugee status, or an immigrant or permanent resident visa (including a Certificat de sélection du Québec (CSQ) or application to the Provincial nominee Program) or visitor or temporary resident visa, to Canada or any other country?

2.Has ***** ever been refused a visa or permit, denied entry or ordered to leave Canada or any other country?


Please help experts!

Yes, an F1 visa is a temporary resident visa.

1st question: no (unless you've been refused PR elsewhere)
2nd question: yes

If F1 visa is temporary resident visa then in the first question it says have been refused temporary resident visa.
Shouldn't it be answered Yes

Lets keep in touch .... super fckd up m sorry to say.... how hard it is to freaking stamp the passport... why everything has to go through anonymity... like a super secret thing is going on.
I hope in future if they can update it on ECAS/Mycic ... Passport received, stamped, waiting to be dispatched and what not.

Hi There, I have submitted my passports for stamping and am waiting for 2 week still no updates. Can some one guide me what to do next?
Here is my timeline
- Passport delivered to CPC Ottawa - 23 June.
- 3 Passports (Mine and 2 dependents)

Should I contact CIC? If so, what is the contact no? Or shall I wait? Please advice... I am little worried:

What if you sent passport copies (visa exempt), does the process go faster?

I wasn`t expecting this week. Probably, it might ship on Monday.

Anyone got tracker activated if your application was approved on July 4th?

Mine was approved on July 4th. Contacted CIC and was told that my passport is shipped to my address today. July 7th. The tracker is not activated yet. Knowing CanadaPost doesn't work on the weekends, I assume I will receive the passport by Monday/Tuesday. I hoped I could land this weekend, but it's not happening

Nope.... you are fine.
Couple of my friends received their passports at po boxes.

Thanks, I guess that all this waiting game makes me worry about these little details, it's good to have it confirmed though
