Hey all. I am just a bit confused. We submitted our passports at vfs Hyderabad. When we checked on the vfs tracking site, it says passports have reached New Delhi office. So is the stamping done there or at CPC Ottawa?

Delhi has a consulate, technically the printing would happen in CPC ottawa. Having said that work permit visa, visitor visa all are stamped at bangalore/delhi consulates.

Hi Guys

Quick question. How do you receive the COPR? Is this a physical document provided when you receive your passport back from the visa office or will the COPR be made available in the CIC account?

Also for visa exempt passports, how do you get the COPR?

Many thanks

Finally became a Permanent Resident last Friday.

I did the landing at Lewiston–Queenston border. It took about 45 min as I arrived during shift changes. The officer asked to sign the COPR and to answer the criminality questions then he asked me about proof of funds. Most of my funds were in the 401 K plan but very easily accessible (in case someone is wondering if 401 k can be shown as proof). He then signed the COPR, congratulated me and gave me the welcome book.

Will CPC Ottawa ever go back to the days of stamping and returning visas in 5 days?

We are in Canada ! It should be faster.

Do you live in Canada ? Why were you asked proof of fund?
