My passport was delivered 7th july, there wasn't any update until 2nd aug. I called them they put a note on my application since it has passed more than 2 weeks. on 7th august i got approval and return tracker activated.

PP delivery confirmation by IRCC through email - July 24, 2017
Approval - July 28, 2017 around 3pm
COPR + PP with visa stamped - August 3, 2017
Tracking # activated- August 2, 2017
Thank you very much guys! I was so anxious before signing up for this forum. It helped me to become patient and learn more about my application.
As I am afraid to do my landing in Ontario on weekend, I am planning to do it next Wednesday at Rainbow Bridge (Niagara Falls).

Hey do they send you an email saying they received your passport?? I sent mine July 10th and tracker said it was delivered July 12th. No updates since then...
i called cic Agent, he said your passport sent to printing room for stamping . Your application is approved it ll take 2 weeks more to get back your passport. I have no idea he did not mention anything about when my passport recieved or when it went to printing room.

I mailed my pp on 12th and Canada post showed that it was received in on 13th. I called CIC twice, first time they said that my pp was received on 24th!!! Second time (Last friday) the lady agent said that they would send a message to Ottawa office. (wasn't it the Ottawa office I called???!!!). Then I received a message from cic's agent saying that they did received my pp and would be returned shortly. There is still nothing happen to my account!!!
Just found this thread. I really thought would be easier and quicker to receive the passport back.
My husband's passport and mine were delivered in Ottawa on 31 July. His visa expires 30 August, and we really like to save the 255 dollars for a new visa that he won't use.

Im not sure when it got approved to be honest. I just saw it this morning that it got approved. I have a flight on the 13th so I called CIC up and the agent told me my passport was getting sent out for delivery. Also, I sent them an email last week with my attached itinerary and asked them if things could be sped up. Just got an email back from them half hour ago with confirmation of my passport being sent out with tracking number and address (all of which I provided when I sent the passport).
If you are not exiting the country you do not need to re apply for a visa. Visa is only required if you exit and then enter Canada back. If your visa expires, theres nothing wrong with that. Mainly your status as a worker should be valid.
