Hi guys, I called cic today followed-up my passport and the lady officer told me, envelope received on the 6th july but they opened to process on the 18th july already. Their plates are full so we are expecting longer processing time.

I just spoke with an agent. My application went in queue for the printing room on July 20. He said it can take up to two weeks for passport to get finalized once in queue and deadline for them to send my passport is Aug 3.

@sea83 Is your application approved? Curious to know, if the approval or the printing happens first.

Nothing on the account yet. I think the wording is confusing for a lot of people.
PPR = application approved
Visa stamp = visa issued

They should probably have two stages. After PPR is sent the account should update to approved and after sending back passport and copr account should update to visa/copr issued.

In our CIC account, post passport submission, at some point (either before/after Visa Stamp or after VO Review) against "Final Decision" the wording changes to "Application Approved". I was trying to determine when the "Final Decision" wordings change.
