Passports to CPC Ottawa- July 2017

My timeline is following

AOR- 1 July 17
PPR- 22 SEPT 17
PP sent - 26th SEPT 17
PP received by Ottawa- 27th SEPT 17

I spoke to the CIC agent today (6th OCT 2017) and the agent mentioned to me that the PPs were received on 27th SEPT 17 and the CIC agent received/opened our PPs on 2 OCTOBER 2017. Also she mentioned to me that " I should hear back from CIC by 17th OCT 2017" and if dont hear from them I should call them back.

My question is "what does it mean by CIC agent opened/received my PP?"
Also " what does it mean when she told me that I should hear back from CIC by 17th OCT 2017?"

Hello Everyone!

I need some advice about PR application, As I am an outland PNP applicant and my application got Decision made on 11th July and I have been waiting since then for PPR but email never came. So I made an MP enquiry to check the status and they replied that file was approved and is in the queue for the visa printing.
Can anybody tell me how long it will take and any suggestions what I am supposed to do to make things work faster...

Congratulations!! Once Pass Port reached Ottawa how can we check updates ? GC Key or Online TOOL?

thank u.Once the passport reaches Ottawa, you can use the GC key (myCIC) to see when the counterfoil is created and also when the application is officially approved.Normally your passports are returned a day after it has been approved. As well as you can call IRCC agents. ECAS (online tool) will only show "completed" when you have done the landing procedures.

if u going at the land borders..US immigration might ask but I doubt Canada..for me, no immigration asked me anything after I said I want to flag pole (smooth)..


They will ask these two questions.1. Do you any dependents that are not declared in the application

2. Have you committed crime or refused admission to Canada
