Requested CIC for extension of 30 more days and they granted extension.

I would be taking passport, CoPR, my permits with me
Do I need more docs?

Once you get your COPR, there should be a list of documents you need to bring. On top of passport, CoPR, and my permits, I would also take my letter of employment (just in case).

My timeline is as follows:

PNP - Inlad - Ontario - Human Resources Stream
CPC - Ottawa
NOC 2175

Submission and AOR - March 30
Additional document (Schedule 4) - 11th April
PPR - May 30
PPR Sent - May 30
Decision made (Approved in CIC web) - June 2
PPR Return tracker activated - June 2

Guess I'll be down in Niagara falls this weekend.

I got my PPR on May 30th, sent my passport the same day and Ottawa received it on May 31st. My CIC profile hasn't changed (it's still open) and no word on tracker or anything else. So frustrating >.<

Generally I don't think they'll process it this fast, even though some cases r closed and approved just within a few days after receiving passport, I still believe it'll take about a week or 2 to process mine which is delivered on yesterday morning.

Passport delivered on 18 May.
Passport sent back on 02 June.
Passport returned on 03 June.

Planning to land in Niagara Falls this weekend and to travel next weekend. Good luck everybody.

Hi friend,

I received the email from CIC but I still can't believe that I got approved for PR. The email is about passport requested.
Can you please send me a copy of email regarding to the passport request so that I can clarify if mine is true ( Because I hired a lawyer so the email was sent to my lawyer. And he is charging me another amount of money before he send me the email. He just took the pic and send to me now). I am still shaking because of the email. I am so happy but still doubt about it.

Does anyone know if cic gives a specified time period in which we have to complete the landing procedure? One of my friends said we should be completing it within one month from the day we receive COPR, but not sure.
Please share if you got any info.

Its usually 6 months from the date they issue immigrant visa on your passport or COPR. The expiry date will be mentioned on the visa as well as COPR. You have to finish landing formalities before that date(usually 6 months). If you have any emergencies or unable to land before that date, you should contact CIC with valid reason and concerning proof and get an extension or else your PR status will be cancelled.

The expiry date on COPR is usually the date when your medical expires, so if you got your medical done on January 1 2016, the expiry date on your COPR will be January 1 2017. this is the general rule. but i believe there must be an expiry date written on COPR as well, so you are suppose to land before that date.
