PASSPORTS TO CPC-OTTAWA in May 2016

Hi Friends, my timeline is as follows:

PPR: 16 May 2016
PPR Sent: 16 May 2016.
Passport arrived at Ottawa: 18 May 2016.

I'm waiting for the Passport coming back. How long does it usually take? Thank you very much.

Congratulations. And that was quick. I received PPR the same day and my passport was delivered in Ottawa May 13th. Hopefully I will have mine soon. Did your MyCIC get updated?

I won't expect my PP to get to Ottawa earlier than Tuesday since Monday is Public Holiday

My Experience Landing at Coutts Border, AB.

Everything went well. Instead of flagpoling I decided to spend some time in US so I got my passport stamped (I have a valid US visa). On the Canadian side, I just told them I was there to land, I was asked to go inside to the immigration section. The first Officer made me wait for like 45mins-1hr sitting there doing nothing (he didn't look like he was doing anything to me) then eventually a second officer called me and congratulated me. Asked if I had been arrested or had any charges and I replied no. He asked for my address for the PR card to be sent to, then he stamped my CoPR and passport and that was it- a no brainer.

A cool officer asked if I wanted a selfie with him, so we took a selfie. He said I should tweet it to CBSA's Twitter account lol, but I'm not sure I would do that.

Odd that I got no email from CIC about it. Anyway, happy days!

Return tracker not activated yet.

I m in worse of a situation right now.. for many reasons we could not send our passports until 10th May and bot our permits expire on 30th May.. The guy at CIC told me to not apply for extension until 30th May... he said wait for the last day !

My passport reached last Tuesday and no updates so far!

Should I call CIC or just wait for few more days? Wanted to get update but also I noticed some people getting update after two-three weeks

I would say wait till today afternoon , My update came around 2 or 3pm in the afternoon yesterday. So i think you can wait today. If nothing today then you may have to wait till Tuesday.

By saying last Tuesday, I meant to say May 10 but I guess it's better if they stamp on Tuesday as I don't want passport to stay with CP during weekend (this time long weekend)
