PASSPORTS TO CPC-OTTAWA in May 2016

Hello All,
I received mail just now from CIC to post passports to them.
Details of my application
- BC - PNP
- AOR on 23rd Feb
- Inland applicant

Question
I am in a bit of a pickle here. My wife (dependent applicant) is currently travelling and will be back in Canada on 26th May (so, it means I can apply only on 27th May + a couple of days for delivery). My work visa expires on July 31st.
- How long does it take for them to process and return passport? Do you think I have sufficient time? (30 days will be 19th June from today).
- Do you guys think I need to apply for extension since visa expires on July 31st?

I m in worse of a situation right now.. for many reasons we could not send our passports until 10th May and bot our permits expire on 30th May.. The guy at CIC told me to not apply for extension until 30th May... he said wait for the last day !

Dude....why a ppl from a visa exempt country need visa stamping at the first place?

Dude why "a people" need visa stamping , I dunno... what I do know, is they need to send photocopies of passport to get the confirmation of PR and usually have their CoPR issued fairly quickly !

PP delivered to CPC Ottawa- 6th May (still showing out to delivery in CP, but no worries as CIC confirmed that they've received my Psprt)
CIC Aprroved/closed Update - 18th May
Return tracker activation - Waiting

Have you tried calling CIC ? They would definitely update you if it is more than 2 weeks.

They might have received it on May 9th because of the weekend. Wait till tomorrow and see, If nothing changes then another 3 days will pass as its a long weekend.

Just checked myCIC, my application has been approved and status closed. So celebration time!!! So passports are safe and will probably reach me in few days...

Hi Friends, my timeline is as follows:

PPR: 16 May 2016
PPR Sent: 16 May 2016.
Passport arrived at Ottawa: 18 May 2016.

I'm waiting for the Passport coming back. How long does it usually take? Thank you very much.
