PASSPORTS TO CPC-OTTAWA in May 2016

Any one from USA here? My PP shows delivered yesterday through FedEx.

I didnt add signature required in rush . Now I am kind of regretting it.

Completed my landing today!

All I was asked for was passport and COPR, took about 15 minutes. At least 5 of that was just chatting with the friendliest border team around.

Hello there!
So thankful that this forum exists!
i just received the letter today saying that I should send my passport either to Ottawa or Brazil in order to have my PR issued.
I am in Canada so I could send to Ottawa, but it says "If you are planning to stay in Canada for three months...you may send to CPC-Ottawa".
Actually, I would need to travel in two months. In Brazil the application would take around 1 month and 15 days.
What would you guys do? Does it really take 3 months so that PR visa is issued in Ottawa? Would that be because I am brazilian - not exempt from having a visa?

Hi Thiappoloni..Usually passports sent to Ottawa takes a round trip time of 10 days to 2 weeks based on previous posts seen in the forum. I think that would be quicker in contrast to sending your passports to Brazil.

Mine is still showing as 'out for delivery' - despite the return tracker having been activated and receiving my CoPR docs!!!

Is there anyone here whose 'Details' under their PR application is showing submitted? I sent my passport on the 3rd and it was received on the 4th.

Canada Post customer service said that if it's a bulk delivery, the tracker won't be updated. I'm guessing there was a pile of mail delivered to IRCC and therefore no one updated anything.

My delivery status is also still "Out for delivery" since May the 6th.

Just for curiosity:
What expect to come on the package besides the passport? Any specific documents?

You get a confirmation of permanent residency document (CoPR). It has one of your passport photos attached and details what to do to officially 'land' in Canada.

PR application 'details' just got updated to 'Approved' but profile status still showing open, review in progress for eligibility, Background check in progress and Final decision not started. I hope to get my passport back soon

The same thing happened with my friend too. Profile status will change in a day. check your profile after you get the Update mail.

yes mine was approved on may 12
