posting here to start following this thread, got PPR today and will be sending passports to Ottawa soon.
One question I have: my wife's passport is expiring in 5 months 25 days, and they do ask at least 6 months validity. Does anyone has any similar experience ?
I'm thinking about sending it anyway and explain in a letter that I'm aware of that but since we will be able to complete the landing procedure before the passport expires, that they issue the visa with expiry date identical to the passport. Any thoughts on that ?
Thanks

In the meanwhile check how much time will it take to renew the passport from your home country? If I remember they have mentioned in the mail somewhere that you can contact them in case of any questions or if you are not able to send them the passport within 30 days.
