Once we complete the landing I can go to India for my vacation right? Or do I need to wait for anything else?

This is my question as well. Because my husband comes to Canada, he has to go to Iran and again come back here.
I have no idea if he can go or not. because he doesn't have his PR card by then.
But I didn't ask this question in the forum. because apparently no one reads my posts or cares to reply!

The email is from CIC and it has your UCI and EE application number. I am in a similar state, my passport has been received in Ottawa on Feb 3rd and MyCiC still shows in progress. The officer will update and close the file online once passports are stamped and file is close din their system.

But I have the Work permit and Visa until June 2016; so If I travel before that; I can use the same permit right?

Dear Shibaak, It takes around 3 months after landing to receive PR cards. If your husband wants to leave canada before receiving PR card, he will have two options to return back to Canada. 1- You mail his PR card to him, or send it with one of your friends who is traveling to Iran. 2- he can request for travel documents in one of Canada embassies. You can search about travel documents in CIC website.

Your permit becomes invalid as soon as you confirm your PR status with immigration ie doing flagpoling at the land border or when landing at airport immigration

Dear Shibaak, It takes around 3 months after landing to receive PR cards. If your husband wants to leave canada before receiving PR card, he will have two options to return back to Canada. 1- You mail his PR card to him, or send it with one of your friends who is traveling to Iran. 2- he can request for travel documents in one of Canada embassies. No I do not know. But it should not take a long time.

It takes maximum 2-3 weeks to get the travel document. Also, the processing time for PR card has gone down to 42 days.
