Just got off the call with CIC regarding Landing Process. As per CIC online help center, we have two choices

1) Landing at Border
2) Local/Nearest CIC office.

In my case, Its Canada Place in Edmonton so i wanted to know the procedure of appointment and the timelines for that.
for people in Alberta, once you have COPR with you - you need to call CIC.
CIC will send out a request for the appointment on your behalf to your desired CIC office.

Edmonton Canada Place Office is taking 6 yo 8 weeks to send your appointment confirmation via mail to your home address.

I guess its better to go to border and get it sorted out right there.

We requested appt through call centre for Canada Place on 1st March. Clerk stated approx 8 week wait. 4 hrs later Canada placed called and we have appt next Tuesday March 8th.

Hi Guys,
I need your advice. I got married 1 week before i received PPR and sent passport for myself and wife to Ottawa on the 20th. Although at the time of creating express entry profile we where in a common-law union for 4 years. The question is i just received marriage certificate in the mail today and Passport was received in Ottawa Feb 24th will it be a good idea to wait for passport to return and show marriage certificate to CBSA officer during landing ? As i don't want to drag the application for too long.

Your ideas are will appreciated

Being in common law means your now wife wasn't included in your application? If that's the case, it will probably drag on for a while. CIC would ask for her medicals and all other docs. I don't know why you submitted just passport (assuming she wasn't included earlier). No body can get through CIC processing without due process including medicals and all forms. They might do it relatively faster for a case such as yours, but certainly not just stamp her passport. If I understood your situation correctly, they would issue you new instructions - complete her processing first, and only then process your PPRs together.

My passport was delivered on 23 feb. i have not heard back yet. Just wanted to know from seniors if the will be any issues for me while landing because i am currently out of status. My work permit application was rejected and i was given 90 days to reapply for restoration of status. I had applied for restoration of status as worker within that limit.

Any comments please

IMO you are good as long as you have applied for restoration. You should be getting approval within 2,3 days

you welcome and congrats on your PPR too.

Where do you see "Your application has been approved" status. Is it ECAS or you get another email after sending passports (PPR)?

Please clarify

I'm assuming you included her in your application as common law partner. PPR email explicitly requests to inform them Immediately of any changes, including marriage. This is very clearly stated and cannot be missed. Please do that immediately if you haven't done so. . If there was no name change, perhaps they can just update the system and issue COPR. If there is a name change because of marriage, then a new passport is needed and CIC will need to issue new visas. Get in touch with them asap in any case, otherwise you may get in trouble.
