Hey fellows,

I'm about to send our passports. Do you send a package with a signature request or just a normal xpresspost package? would there be anyone to sign for the package or does it go to a p.o.box with no one opreating there?

We do not specify any such thing with Canada post. Just tell them it is passports we have to send and they would give you the right envelopes and you receive tracking numbers. In most cases the receiver signs and you can see that on canadapost tracking. However, some people have also reported not seeing any signatures.

There is no correlation between POBox and not being signed. The address to which all people from in side Canada send, is indeed a POBox and still there are signatures. Hope that helps.

Thanks. Canadapost actually charges $1.50 more for requesting signature. I don't want the package not sent because no one was there to sign off the package. I'll just ask Canadapost tomorrow and send it via normal Xpresspost.

I have never been told by them that there is any such thing. It was roughly 40 CAD for passports with in Canada and both times I saw those signed.

Called cic to schedule edm cic landing. The agent said the wait timing for edm landing is around two months. He said edm office will call me to schedule the appointment. Let's see.

Do you know if when sending back the passport, CIC will require signature?

My whole family will be gone for about 1 week so requiring a signature is something we cannot fulfill. If Canada Post just leave my passport in the pigeon hole/community mailbox then I know my passport will be safe when I come back.

I Have been reading on these forums since Jan 2015. Never had a chance to register and participate. I got PPR on 19th of FEB sent requirement same day. CPC Ottawa received PP on 22 OF Feb. My question to you is the following.. is there any chance to be rejected at this stage? ( passports are Valid ). I am a FSW Inland. AOR 3 Sept.

Not that I have heard of or read anywhere, unless they find some mis-leading or false information in your application.
