Your spouse application was closed on August 31, 2016 and the tracker is active in the same day ?

Yes, I emailed and called them everyday this week as we were waiting since 3 weeks for her passport and they immediately replied back saying it is sent out and MyCIC also got updated simultaneously.

My application was approved and closed on August 30 and return tracker is still not activated :?

Really ? When your case was closed.

I think that we need a ID card to pickup Xpresspost Prepaid Envelopes, or we have to sign to get it? Is it correct ?
I lived in apartment, have just moved to other city. If I know that my passport is coming, I will return to get it. Hence, the returned tracking is very important.

It's been a week since application was approved and closed and haven't got my passport back neither tracker was activated.

I sent my passport on 28th Aug and still did not get any updates.. No tracker activate no application approved..
Any Idea?

Looks like CPC-Ottawa is having problems with returning the passports for August.

The signature on delivery option is an extra payment, if you paid for it on the return envelope.
The ID they will check for is for someone at the recipient address, if for some reason delivery failed and you have to pick it up at a Canada Post location.

I called CIC again. One agent asked me to fax a letter to Ottawa.

I don't think they were this slow for June and July. Not sure why the delay is happening for August. Interesting people are waiting much longer for the same process that could be done in 1-2 weeks earlier this summer. Not sure if emailing them would help.

To be honest, I just kept emailing and calling on alternate days during the third week of waiting for my spouse's passport and it worked.
