Passports to Accra Visa Office !

I seriously don’t know what is really happening with AVO. I submitted my passport on the 20th of November 2020 and it arrived VFS on the 23rd but no counterfoil update on my profile since then. I am thinking of emailing the VO to see what’s wrong or I should just chill? I used to think it’s a month’s timeline but I think I am wrong.

Just chill or you can try to shoot an email. Based on your date of submission, I believe you should atleast receive a counterfoil but with AVO anything can happen. We all in the limbo

According to what Annie01 said we cannot travel and the language is rather clear than ambiguous.

IRCC states "You are exempt from the current travel restrictions and can come to Canada if you have a valid COPR, and

• the COPR was issued after March 18, 2020 and you are an immediate family member sponsored by a Canadian citizen or permanent resident (note that grandparents are not considered immediate family members and cannot come to Canada at this time)"

Most of us do not have sponsored applications by a Canadian citizen or permanent resident hence we cannot travel

Send them an email and they will respond. My guess is they could probably be trying to extend your medical, but don't just wait, reach out to them.

If you have a COPR you can travel - they won’t turn you back.

Got my counter foil update on December 23, 2020 and I’m waiting for my passport to be returned to me now. Such a long wait

Generally, you get your passport 2-3 weeks after your IRCC profile changes to approved and your counterfoil appears. Accra likely has a backlog. It happened before for FSW inland people in 2017 when there was serious backlog at Ottawa.
