We finally did our "landing" today in Coutts,AB. It was the same normal procedure as mentioned by others in previous threads. The border officers were nice especially on the Canadian side. The officer who processed our papers just asked us (me & wife) few questions and signed our COPRs. I signed the copr in behalf of my daughter. After that , he congratulated us for being permanent residents of Canada. So happy today! :D
Congratulations and thank you for sharing.

Hello Guys,

Are there still people waiting for their passeport from late september early october ?

My passeport was received on the 3rd of October but there has been no news since.

I've seen people getting their passeport this week and it was received by CPC mid to late october.

Thanks for your feedback !

Hello Everyone!

I am Jan applicant and I got the PPR on Nov 7th. Sent my passports but it is still on the way ( Canada Express Post ).

My questions are :

1. How long it's gonna take to receive passport back ?
2. What is the time limit they give on COPR ( Expiry Date ) ?
3. I am planning to go back home and while coming back I can do Landing ?
4. Or I can finish the landing process here and wait for PR Card ?
5. If I am waiting for PR Card, how long it's gonna take ?
6. Can we request PR Card to send us faster as I have my flight by Dec 28th ?

My mind is blowing with all these questions.. Please help :(

1) Usually 3-4 weeks max.
2) Validity will be 1 year from the date they received ur medical reports
3) Yes you sure can if you have valid visa to enter Canada (multiple entry work visa or similar)
4) this is other option too, U can schedule appointment and finish the formalities
5) Depends which of the above mentioned two options you choose, if yu do landing its usually about 2 months now and other way its bit quicker
6) No. You wish !!!!!!!!!! I would recommend u do ur landing while coming back to Canada if you have valid vis to re-enter.

All the best

Hi,
I believe that you will receive your passport very soon. you can check the table here:
http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/passports-sent-to-ottawa-in-octobernovemberdecember-2014-t249176.60.html

You can land when you come back to Canada. In your case, It's safer than landing and waiting for PR card in December! you have the urgent option as well, but I don't know how exactly does it work:
"If your application is considered urgent due to imminent travel, mail your completed application by registered mail to the address shown above.
Include a copy of your plane ticket and proof of payment of your ticket and write: “Urgent—Proof of travel included” on your envelope.
Note: A travel itinerary is not considered a satisfactory proof of travel."

Finally received the passports after about 8 weeks of waiting...

Good luck to others that are awaiting. It is testing. But be patient, it will all be good.
