I got the ppr email yesterday, but they did not ask me to submit 2 photos and biodata form. is it normal process?

Yeah.. they didn't ask for me either. Just send them the passport and the printed email that you received (PPR) and you're good to go.

thanks for sharing your experience. Could you please tell me how long it will take to process the visa? Cic would receive my passport today.

My medical will be expired in this April, 2015 and my wife medical will be expired in July 2015. Do you have clue how long do we have time for landing?

Hello all,

Don't know if anybody would be interested in waiting time for appointment in Calgary office.

I've call CIC call centre on 23 March to make an appointment, lady told me that within 3 weeks Calgary office will contact me regarding date and time for Landing interview.

27th March I have received email asking to come to Calgary office on the 8th April.

Total waiting time from call to appointment 2,5 weeks.

I got my ppr today (may applicant) but my problem is I have added my wife's name in my file on 4th December
And her name has yet not got included in it
I emailed then regarding this...but any idea what will happen now?

And how long it will take?

Do not worry about it... Your depends name wont be included as u r the PA.... send passports of all dependants, who r part of ur application

I have no idea. I called CIC the same day I got COPR. The agent on the phone asked me if I have COPR and I said yes.
I guess you can try and see.

But, did she already did it in the past year for temporary visa? or for some different purposes like to get some health care related jobs they need to do it for security purposes..


I do not think, immigration will ask you to submit passports without finalizing all the dependants... Also read the ppr email carefully, the standard format is to send all the passports together and if not let the cic know...in my case I got ppr and i sent all the passports together

Also, did u have third line in ECAS? If so, noway she need to do medical exam

That means,... ur second line should be medicals received right?

Then they could have done some mistake, if I were u I would not even write to them and send passports as per their request.. Looks like u already contacted them and they will review the file and most like u r going to receive meds for her..

With all the hussle associated with obtaining that travel document, I think it's easier to go to the U.S. and enter Canada either by a rental car or get a lift... Applies to U.S. visa holders of course.
