Did you call? I sent it on Oct 6th and my flight is Nov 4th and I will most likely have to reschedule.

I sent an email together with my letter of explanation and my mom's medical certificate. No reply. Can I use a travel document and leave Canada and just wait my passport then in my home country?

I think you can do that. Either you'd have to call them and ask to send passport abroad or ask someone from Canada to forward you the passport. Call them better and speak to an agent

This is strange! Everyone else got their passports back within 2 days of approval... I also emailed them yesterday morning and got no reply till now.

Yeah this is strange but I called CIC and they said that they've dispatched my passport today! Hopefully I would receive it tomorrow.

So even your application is fully approved they are taking 4 days to send the passport

Here is my TRV timeline guys, applied TRV inside Canada with valid work permit:
Applied online: August 11th 2017
Passport request: October 4
Passport delivered: October 6
Passport actually received in office: October 10
Application status changed to approved: October 23
Passport return in transit: October 26

I sent my Passport last week, Thursday, and until now no reply from them. My Flight is on Oct 31st

From the current cycle time, I think you will get your passport back during the first week of November.

Lol yeah finally.Thankx man! First I had flight on 18 October .. then rescheduled to 26 October... Rescheduled again to 1 November

I sent them an email three days ago if there's a way to expedite it as my flight is schedule on the 31st of this month. I attached my plane ticket on email and a medical certificate of my mom. Yesterday, they sent an email first suggesting that I need to send them an Online Shipping Label with the shipping speed I preferred. They even gave me an instruction how to do it. Now, I have my passport with my visa. I can go home now this 31st.

Congratulations! Which email did you use?is there a phone number as well? I emailed them but still didn't hear anything back.

Hi, just a friendly suggestion, if you are sending the passport to cpp ottawa and there is an urgency, send a copy of your airtickets and a letter mentioning your urgency in short.......on the top and back of envelope just write “URGENT”

It worked for me, I sent my passport on Oct 23 and they have dispatched the return envelope yesterday on Oct 27.......I hope to receive it by monday or tuesday.......

I wanted to share my timeline :

Applied online : 17th September
Passport request : 7th October
Passport sent : 7th October
Passport received : 11th October
Application approved : 24th October

Tracking ID still not activated.
From the responses on this thread it seems like they send out the passports every Monday and Friday.
Really hoping that they send mine this Monday. I have a flight to catch on Thursday

Keeping my fingers crossed
