Passport Transit Time - CPP Ottawa

My timeline:
Applied online: September 22
Passport request: October 4
Passport sent: October 6
Passport received: approximately October 12-13
Application approved: 30th October

Did not write down my tracking number so can only guess when the passport will arrive -_-

Just called CIC and they said my passport was dispatched today at 12pm so happy. Hopefully it will arrive on time.

I also got a reply from CPC they gave me my tracking number saying that it takes up to 2 business days for the tracking number to actually register on the website. So although my passport was already dispatched, I still don't see tracking activated.

That’s awesome. I called them up and they said that my passport was dispatched too. But my tracking number did not get activated. Hopefully I will receive the passport by Wednesday
Let me know if you tracking Id gets activated later .

Oh.. mine is not activated yet. I live in BC. Hopefully it gets activated tomorrow. I think Canada xpressport gives a garunteed 2 day delivery. So you should receive it by Wednesday or latest by Thursday

Yes! I called Canada post and they said service delivery standard is 3-4days. But I just received another packaged shipped through xpress post from Ottawa. It was sent last Monday and I just received it yesterday so it took a week to arrive. That's why I'm worried

Just checked and my passport is already in Edmonton this morning! But the weird thing is it doesn't show estimated delivery date.

That's a general number for IRCC though. You can't call CPC Ottawa directly. If you have urgent case it's best to email them and attach all supporting documents. It worked for me.

So i found out that Canada post had made a mess with my passport return and forgot to scan my envelope yesterday. Finally, it got activaed at 6:30 today. Hopefully they deliver it in one day. Has anyone (residing in BC) received their passport back in one day ?

How do you know they forgot to scan it? Is it still in Ottawa? I've read that sometimes it is in transit, but is not activated.
