Hello team.. i just got the magical ppr mail this morning.
So joining this forum for next process.
I also need to send to NDVO.. am frm chennai. So wil submit in chennai vfs.

My question- the ppr mail has our application number and my uCI. It is default that the pr is granted for my spouse also rite ???

Because each applicant has a uci and i see only min in the email.

Any one who sent PP with spouse ?? How was ur email writeen .. 1 uci or 2 uci???

And what was the subject of ur ppr email. Mine was "ready for visa"

I also applied with Spouse. Only one UCI and App number will be mentioned. You need to send copy of the ppr email, both passports and 2 photos each in the new format. It takes just 10 mins at the vfs. Payment is only in cash - so take cash with you

Glad to join this group after seeing the PPR message just a while ago. I am not able to call the VFS people as it is Saturday today and I thought I'll educate myself from this group.

I'm from South India and I plan to send the Passport to VFS in Delhi through courier. The following is an extract from the message I received from CIC. "Contact VFS in India (www.vfsglobal.ca/canada/india) or in Nepal (www.vfsglobal.ca/canada/Nepal) and pay the requisite fees for the Passport Transmission Services"

How do I pay this requisite fees as I'm sending the docs through post? Do I include a DD in there?

You can't send the passport to vfs via courier. Someone will have to hand deliver the documents to vfs. You can travel to Chennai, Blore or Hyd - all three have Canada VFS counters.

Lubin.. there is a VFS in chennai. I dont think you need to courier to ND VFS...

Regarding the vfs .. do we need to book any appointment witht them??

In the vfs webaite there is no visa type.. there is temp visa.. work visa. And travel doc for permanent resident(which is for returning residents and not for first timers i guess)

So which category we shud use ?

Or jus walkin to vfs with PP + 2 photo & ppr mail ?? And they take care of rest???

Or separate covers for both of us having pp+2pic+ppr mail??


And if we have multiple passports.. do we send only the latest or all??

Also what's up with the job scenario for you guys ? Do you guys already have valid job offers or will you start from scratch after landing there??

One more clarification.. is there a photo booth inside vfs? I remeber somebody sayin that.. or its better to carry 2 photos.


And its mentioned to have photography studio in on back of 1 photo.

Any specificities??? Hand written info is ok???

There was a photo studio in the blore vfs centre. Which one are u going to?

It's better to carry a photo according to the new specifications. Avoid last minute hassles.

I had the studio place their stamp on the back of the photo and hand-wrote the date.

As far as I know. It is 180 days to land after COPR... Not 1 year

My timeline:
AOR 8th July
PPR 8th Jan
Awaiting CoPR from NDVO CHC office

From what I heard the visa validity will be till your medicals expire.
For me it expires end of June so have to be there before that!!

Folks post COPR, can we utilize our funds locked in for settlement funds ??

That's assuming we can show a similar amount during landing ..

Any views on this ???
