Passport to CPC Ottawa - December 2016

Hello, lazybone. Thank you very much for your information and the four scenarios. I really appreciate your help. I think maybe I will try to see if the address can be redirected in the post office. I think that can be straightforward. Can I just have one more question? I just took two headshot (to sent together with passport) from a local store today earlier . They told me that this photo spec is the same as passport spec, so they just go ahead to take the passport photos for me. So can I double check with you if this is going to be ok? And they do not put my name in the back of a photo(they only stamp their address). So should I put my name and day of birth in myself. Just want to know that I do not need to have a "guarantor" to put my name in there, right?

It seems the shop I took photos on is not very professonal. So I am just a little concerned that they may mess up something. Can I just check with you?

Assuming you have a service canada there..take it to them and they will verify the photo specs/lighting/gloss/shine/etc..

The photo place will just put the date and their stamp...you need to put in your name and dob

I have a question - when does the profile on our application get updated online? Is it when CIC stamps our passports or is it when it has been sent?
Also, do we get an email or is it just the status change on the site?

Hello Jetplane,

The status usually changes to Approved & Closed after visa gets stamped on the passport. I'm not sure about the email, but I read few previous thread, nobody mentioned about the email.

Hello everyone,

Can anyone tell me how much VFS charge to send passports to CPC- Delhi. These passports (wife+kid) for immigration VISA+COPR ?



Here is my time line (sent mine within Canada)

Sent passport to CPC-Ottwa 7th Dec @4PM

Delivered - 8th Dec @11.38AM

Returned in Transit - 13th Dec @5PM
Passport received - 15th Dec @9.30AM
