Passport submission in USA for Indian application for TRV - Visit Visa

Hello Everyone,

My parents are in USA currently visiting my brother, we applied for TRV- Visit visa to Canada, it got approved from the new IRCC portal and we have 30 days to submit the passport for stamping.

can we send the passport to VFS Global in USA? or do we have to go back to India and submit it from India?

The approval letter is not clear, they are asking me to confirm what I answered on questions 9 and 7 (however these questions are in old application portal, not new IRCC portal)

appreciate any help/advice here.

Yes you can submit in VFS NY or LA office via two way courier. We just did that for my brother who is visiting family member in US and now coming to Canada to meet us

Nope i just went to google and searched VFS NY and got the details about website and there is an option of Additional Services and Two Way Courier details explained everything
We just followed it

I am in similar boat here.... my father's TRV was approved in India on Feb 14 ...his biometrics was done in India .... he is currently in USA...we submitted webform to request IRCC to allow for stamping in USA.... but have not received any response .... his 30 day period mentioned on letter is also going to get over soon and we have no clarity from IRCC...

Can you please share what did you do? Did you got any response from IRCC?

Hello,

We submitted parents passport using 2 way courier service to VFS New York, will keep you posted if we get stamped passports back. For now, they acknowledged the passport receipt at VFS.

@mannepu - Did you contacted IRCC? Did you submitted any webform to IRCC and got any response? what paper did you submitted along with the passport? Our 30 days are getting over on 14th..... we submitted webform to IRCC about this, email also, but have not got any response back....

Hey guys, I am applying Canada TRV for my parents as well from US. They are here on US visitor visa (will be staying for 6 months). I am not sure what would be the "Countries or Territories of Residence" I should be mentioning, so to be able to complete the process from us (i.e. biometrics, passport two way courier, stamping at LA VAC, etc). Kindly guide on this, thanks

@prseeker2 To the best of my knowledge, the countries or territories of residence should be India because thats what they are residents of and not usa...they are tourists/temporary in USA....

If you are planning to submit the visa application in USA, then "Countries or Territory where applying" will be USA.... mind you that you will need to give solid reason of why you are not applying from their country of resident in cover letter.

Also take in consideration that they will have to leave USA after 6 months (unless they extend their stay and its approved) and the current processing time for TRV........
